The objective of Uno is to get rid of all your cards first but once you are down to one card, you have to call “Uno!” otherwise there is a penalty if someone else calls “Uno!” on you first. In this version of Uno there are three different modes you can play in; “Quick Play”, “Single Player”, and “Multiplayer”.

Quick play has three different difficulties, easy, normal and hard. To unlock normal and hard you must first win a round in the previous difficulty. In single player there are two different modes you can play in, tournament and custom mode. In tournament you can be rewarded cups or tables. Cups are various achievements you can win by simply playing the game. An example of a cup is “When you win the game without drawing any cards.” A table is where you collect tiles by winning games, each tile is part of a new icon and once you have won all the tiles to an icon you can arrange them to make the icon which unlocks a new icon. Custom mode allows you to customize the difficulty, game mode, scoring type, penalties, draw type, force play, Uno 7-0, and Jump-in. Multiplayer mode has three different options of ways you can play with other players. You can play online, locally or on a single device by passing and playing with friends.

One great thing about this version is that anybody can play easy mode. It guides you through the basics of the games and helps you win with a little assistance. Easy mode is a great place to start for beginners and kids. Normal is slightly more difficult but after a few rounds in easy mode most people should be able to win a round or two. Hard is just that, hard. They provide you with much less clues and make the other people you’re playing against better players which makes the game harder as a whole.
