You have always dreamed of flying – but your wings are tiny. Luckily the world is full of beatiful hills. Use the hills as jumps – slide down, flap your wings and fly! At least for a moment – until this annoying gravity brings you back down to earth. But the next hill is waiting for you already. Watch out for the night and fly as fast as you can. Otherwise flying will only be a dream once again.

Tiny Wings, the newly crowned top app is entertaining, fast paced and surprisingly addicting for such a simple game. With only one button, you’d think it’d be easy, but don’t let that fool you!

The purpose of the game is to earn new nests by completing achievements. With every new nest, you are given 3 more achievements to complete. Achievements are things like getting 100 coins, 3 great slides in a row, and earning 60,000 points in one run.
Your character is a bird with tiny wings, as the name suggests, that can only fly far with a great deal of speed. To gain speed he slides up and down the hills, as he goes down a hill you can tap the screen to make him fold his wings, making him heavy which in turn makes him gain speed.
The thing that makes the game more difficult is you can only play when the sun is shining. Gaining coins postpones the sunset, but as you move from island to island, the coins are much more sparse.
The “levels” are different islands and many of the achievements are specific to different islands. For example, one of the first few nests has an achievement that requires you to get 5 great slides on Island 3. Which means even if you get 5 great slides on any other island, you won’t receive that achievement. There is also another achievement where you have to get a great slide immediately after an island jump. I have found that the achievements that can only be done on one specific island tend to be more difficult to complete.
